TRUST ROOM

When I was a teenager it became clear to me that we have the choice to think,
decide, act and create either based on trust – or motivated by fear. Both paths
have subsequent effects on us and our surroundings. My decision was certain:
I wanted to be driven by confidence – confidence in me and trust in others as
well as in life as such.

This concept became a crucial element in my studies and
the golden thread throughout my artistic work. Working on my dissertation I
took a close look at the meaning of trust within cooperations and at social and
technical innovations in societies affected by and be composed of diversity.

Hence I became aware of the fact that we live in a world stirred by Panic Rooms
and War Rooms. But I was looking for something different, Trust Rooms. That’s
how the development of "Trust Rooms" - sensorial rooms to encourage ways of
thinking and acting based on trust (as opposed to fear) thus supporting
transcultural cooperations and creativity - became the common theme of what I
do as well as the name of my organisation. My work unfolds mostly at the
interface of science and art of which extracts are presented under the column
‘projects’ - for example >> SCIENCE GRAFFITI.
